Makes: 8-10 portions.
Preparation time: 70 minutes, plus overnight chilling.

Spread the Butter over one side of each Bread Slice. Arrange half of the Bread Slices, buttered side down, overlapping in a greased 13 X 9 inch baking dish. Spread Marmalade over the Bread Slices. Top with the remaining Bread Slices, buttered side up.
In a large bowl, whisk the Eggs, Milk, Sugar, Vanilla and Nutmeg until well blended. Pour this over the Bread. Refrigerate covered, several hours or overnight.
Remove the dish from the refrigerator. Preheat the oven to 350° F. Sprinkle the top with Walnuts. Bake this uncovered for 40-50 minutes until golden brown and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving. In a small sauce pan, combine the Maple Syrup, Orange Juice and Orange Peel, stir and heat thoroughly until warm. Dish out portions of the Bake and top with some Maple/Orange Syrup.
